Should the government make cuts to public spending in order to reduce the national debt?
Yes, but by drastically reducing the benefits and salaries of government officials
Currently, government officials at the lower tiers already receive unlivable wages, and expected to pay in advance or out of pocket for most expenses, such as uniforms, ceremonies, and travel within the same city. Higher ranked officials can shrug this off, but newer employees can't.
Instead of reducing benefits and salaries of government officials, it should be permitted that cost of living and working be fully subsidized.
